Operation Bumbo Drop

Jen sourced one of these things off Kijiji.  The result is one of my new favourite pics.

Growth

Wee Paige is definitely getting bigger.  Two months in and we're already finding onesies that are just a little too snug.  On to the next batch!

Sharknado!

I did it.  I watched it.  And it is the most ridiculous thing I have ever witnessed.  It easily trumps both Mega Shark movies with its complete disregard for physics, biology, competent CGI work, and basic spatial reasoning.  Each and every scene in this movie has you shaking your head at the audacious stupidity on display.

And it is awesome.  Don't think about anything and let the mega star power of Ian Ziering and Tara Reid light your way to a spectacle you won't soon forget.  A sequel is already in the works.  Can't wait!

What's TBone Watching

We haven't been SO busy that we've neglected the TV.  We did a one week trial of a US proxy to sample the American Netflix offerings.  And it is good.  I'm currently hooked on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Jen has found a plethora of ridiculous rom-coms to amuse her through the day.  Definitely worth the money for the proxy to get the expanded library.

On "regular" TV, I can't get enough of America's Got Talent.  It's a reality show and I hate reality shows but this one got to me just because you see some balls out amazing things you wouldn't think people could ever do.  So, yah, that's my guilty pleasure at the moment.

One thing that I haven't been able to watch, but will shortly, is Sharknado!  If you haven't seen the trailer for this SyFy adventure, I highly recommend checking it out.  I've already seen Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus and Mega Shark vs. Crockosaurus and I'm expecting the same or greater Grade A cheez from Grade C actors.  Can't wait.

What's TBone Drinking?

Went out for dinner the other night and sampled the Keith's Cascade Hop Ale.  It's very good.  Apparently Keith's has some other Hop themed beers on the go too and I'd be pretty interested in sampling them after this successful tasting.  It doesn't have the character of the Sawdust City Lone Pine but for a major label it's pretty unique and I have to give them credit for branching out.

WWILTPITFTW

Who would I like to punch in the face this week?

Sara, the super enthusiastic user of Crest Pro-Health products.  I'm not sure if it's her, the facebook "selfie" format of the commercial, or just the fact that she seems to be on every channel at every commercial break bragging about her awesome dental hygiene.

I'm really happy for you and your dentist.  Now kindly fuck off.

Visitors

We also had a very nice visit from the Farnels who got rained out of their vacation plans. They treated us to a delicious dinner and we were so proud to introduce Alice and Ben to their newest cousin.  They're getting so big it's ridiculous.  They were very fond of our CowCow Ottoman.  Love the look on Ben's face.

Busy

Yup, been a busy couple weeks.  No time for blogging.  We bought a house!  Way out in Milverton.  We are moving to the country!  It'll be an adjustment but it looks like a great place to raise little Paiger.  More space than we could ever afford in Kitchener.  Really looking forward to it.

The whole purchasing process wasn't exactly smooth.  I'm still not sure what the right sequence of events should have been with regards to lawyer, realtor, insurance, and bank.  I do know CIBC fucked me over on the mortgage.  Really pissed at them right now.  Letter writing pissed.  I expect them to be left shell shocked from my mighty written words.  Assholes.

Anyways, sorry for the absence of Paige Pics.  Here's some of the backlog.

Long Weekend Go Boom

Yay long weekend!  That special time when a few idiots, fascinated by loud noises and shiny lights, can hold an entire neighbourhood hostage with their chintzy fireworks displays.  I don't hate fireworks, I just hate them in my back yard.  Growing up, a fireworks display was something you traveled to and it was put on with some sort of professionalism.  Now, anybody can buy fireworks and set them off indiscriminately in any location.

I also seem to remember that selling fireworks was illegal back when I was a kid.  When did that change?  Why does our nanny state stop short on this one item?  I have to wear a helmet, gloves, and knee pads just to change a light bulb but yah sure here are some explosive charges you can set off in your back yard with your kids!

Bah.
