That feeling that you get when your GPS is telling you to take the next exit but the sign in front of you says "Closed for construction".  Throw in the fact that you're in downtown Montreal during rush hour and you may be having an all-out anxiety attack.

Technology is great until the real world shits all over it.

  1. Hey, we got a GPS eh? It told me to go on the Transitway (just for buses and with a $500 fine - or something like that) on more than one occasion.

  2. You know they do "recalculate" if you miss a turn. You might even end up at the border (coming in or going out?) before you know it.

  3. I didn't mention in the original post that I was also hauling a big, bejeezus trailer, with an argo on top that blocked my rear view. I had a nice simple route planned and I wasn't really up to playing chicken with an entire population that think they are the next Jacques Villeneuve. The "recalculation" had me diving back and forth across many lanes of rush hour traffic. Not fun.
